As a Human Resources Specialist in a fast-growing company, you will have responsibility for supporting professionals we engage on behalf of our clients throughout China and assisting in the management of the back-end HR, accounting, and legal service providers that support the infrastructure of our Chinese business. .

Location: Shanghai, China

Job Duties include:

  • Support the onboarding for new hires and offboarding in China, including payroll setup and benefit enrollments as required
  • Managing questions related to payroll, expense reports and other HR functions for our global employees on behalf of our clients
  • Managing local accountants, benefits brokers, HR advisors and other partners in China
  • Maintaining meticulous client records in our online portal
  • Responding to client queries and advising on benefits, international payroll queries and other client matters that invariably arise for clients hiring internationally
  • Manage client relationships in conjunction with members of the client success team
  • Handle ongoing matters with existing clients by pulling in appropriate members of the team to resolve client queries
  • Negotiating with potential new clients and existing clients expanding into China
  • Ad-hoc project related to China business

Skill Set Required:

  • BS/BA Degree or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or other depending on experience
  • 3-5 years Human Resources experience (HR Operations and HRBP experience; breadth of HR knowledge and skills in a variety of fields)
  • Knowledge of Chinese national, regional, and local labor law, employment practices and business environment
  • Experience interacting with people internationally in global or international organizations.
  • Account management experience with excellent customer service skills
  • Independent, time-managing, self-motivated, Highly organized and multi-tasking
  • Willingness to work flexible hours across time zones, as required for international business
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail, yet also see “the big picture”
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, and teaming skills
  • Able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach
  • Strong business/HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and self-initiative
  • Ability to identify issues, problems and opportunities
  • Ability to self-manage and establish work procedures and standards to achieve a high level of productivity
  • Proficiency in using MS Office applications and HRIS
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
