A lot of Massachusetts companies in general made the list, including Somerville-based PaintNite, which was named the second fastest-growing company in the U.S., with 36,555 percent in three-year revenue growth. In addition, Cambridge-based consulting firm Globalization Partners made No. 6 on the list.
Inc. compiles the annual list based on revenue growth from 2013 to 2015 and a company’s 2015 revenue.
Topping the list of Boston tech companies was Pixability, a video advertising platform for YouTube and other social media networking that grew revenue 1,226 percent over three years to $9.7 million in 2015. Turbonomic (formerly VMTurbo) and CloudLock, which announced earlier this year that it will be acquired by Cisco for $293 million) trailed right behind with 954-percent three-year rgrowth and 665-percent three-year growth, respectively.
Other noteworthy Boston tech companies to make the list include Valore, WordStream, Buildium, Raizlabs, Applause, Acquia, DataXu, EverQuote and AppNeta.
