What I’m Grateful For

Reading Time: 3 minutes

CEO Nicole SahinThere’s nothing more rewarding in entrepreneurial life than to look back on how far you’ve come and how quickly, and give thanks to the people and all the tiny miracles that flowed together to make great things happen. That’s why Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Here’s what I’m thankful for this year at Globalization Partners:

I’m grateful for every client and every professional that took a leap of faith with us and signed on with our service to make cross-border expansion easier. It’s a huge honor to help America’s best companies hire teams around the globe and we’re delighted to be part of your success.

I’m grateful for every employee who took a leap of faith and signed up for my dream this year. Startup life is not for everyone, and our team grew 3x in the last year. There is nothing more rewarding-or inspiring – than the commitment we’ve made to grow a great business together. THANK YOU to each colleague who has taken the leap!

I’m grateful for my grizzled old veteran team, who signed on prior to 2016, built the foundation that made us #6 on the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies list in 2016, and paddled like crazy during the “white water rapid” high growth periods that every start-up company faces. You guys are amazing! History shows that there is NOTHING we can’t do together.

I’m grateful for our business partners. No one is an expert in 150+ countries and we would not be able to do business without partners in each country that we know, like and trust. We’ve chosen you because you’re the best, and you’ve proved that again and again, in deed and in intention. Thank you for riding with us in the difficult moments as well as the great moments of mutual growth.

I’m grateful for a wonderful family, friends and to be part of a community that is changing the world. Entrepreneurial life, and life in general, has its moments of ups and downs but I know that we are in an era that incubates the greatest technologies humanity has ever devised. Here in Boston, we are also surrounded by leaders fighting for social change, and we all play a small part in each other’s success.    This community inspires me!

I’m grateful to be part of making the world a smaller place. In a time of such global turbulence on a grand scale, I’m grateful to see that people on a day-to-day scale are becoming closer than ever. We have business partners in countries that have traditionally been countries that don’t get along, but my interactions with people in those countries prove again and again that people everywhere are mostly good. We all want the same things. It’s a privilege to have this worldview, and I hope to spread it Far and wide as we continue to work together.

Regardless of your heritage, it is always great to give thanks. Thanks for being part of our extended team in 2016.

Happy Thanksgiving!
