The General Data Protection Regulation, aka GDPR, is a sweeping set of guidelines set to take effect in the European Union in May. GDPR drastically tightens the rules around the practices of data privacy by companies. The new regulation applies to any company doing business in Europe, and this still includes the United Kingdom.
Though Brexit has caused some concern, the UK still remains a popular destination for expansion.
