The challenge: people operations at global scale
In 2021, Avionica set out to improve their people operations and free up the HR team to focus on higher-value work. Managing a globally distributed workforce meant solving a few separate problems.
On the employee side, they needed a professional employer organization (PEO) to handle HR support and benefits for their U.S. team, and an employer of record (EOR) to keep them compliant with local employment laws for international hires in Armenia, India, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, and other countries.
As the global contractor side of the business grew, so did the administrative load. Onboarding ran through the accounting team, with contracts, SOWs, and payments all coordinated manually — a process that made sense at smaller scale but had become a bottleneck.
The solution: managing global workers and contractors with G-P
After evaluating PEO options, Avionica chose TriNet for U.S. HR and benefits administration. TriNet's partnership with G-P made the decision for the international side easy: G-P EOR gave Avionica the compliance coverage and local expertise they needed to hire internationally with confidence.
“TriNet and G-P help handle the day-to-day details for me so I can focus more on strategic initiatives. I love it,” explained Lauren Haber, Head of Human Resources at Avionica. "G-P keeps us compliant with laws in countries I'm not familiar with, and TriNet makes benefits administration, time off, and payroll processing easy for our U.S. workforce."
With EOR running smoothly, the HR team looked at the contractor side of the business. Since the team already trusted G-P, adding G-P Contractor to manage international contractor onboarding and payments was a natural next step, with no new vendors required.
Avionica's global contractors now onboard through a single platform, contracts are created and managed digitally, and invoice payments go out quickly in the contractor's preferred currency. The manual back-and-forth that used to slow everything down is gone.
Onboarding is simple, managing contracts is straightforward, and paying invoices is a breeze. Everything about G-P Contractor is designed to be easy to use, so you can focus on what matters most."

The impact: a faster, more confident way to manage a global workforce
The Avionica team now manages their full global workforce with the help of G-P — international EOR, contractor onboarding, and contractor payments all on one platform, with TriNet handling U.S. HR and benefits. The results show up on both sides.
For contractor management specifically, the team estimates saving around 10% of time per pay cycle on invoicing and payments, with productivity up an estimated 20% since adopting the platform. The clearest proof of the change, though, came from the contractors themselves.
Contractors have told me how easy the process is, after they'd been worried about how complex submitting invoices could be."

G-P and TriNet continue to deliver the accuracy and reliability the team depends on. Templated reports give Lauren and her team a cleaner view of workforce and compensation data across every country they operate in.
"The accuracy of things — I don't need to worry about anything," concluded Haber. "TriNet and G-P have helped eliminate benefits and payroll errors that can result from the manual processes we previously used."
With G-P supporting both their international team members and global contractors, Avionica's HR team can focus on the work that actually moves the business forward. As the aerospace industry continues to evolve, they have the foundation to grow their global team on their own terms.
