Taxation rules in Niger

Both employers and employees have to comply with Niger’s taxation rules. Employers contribute to family allowances (8.4%), workers’ pensions (5.25%), and work injury (1.75%). Employees have to pay 5.25% of their salaries to pensions. It’s important to note that Niger adopted a pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) system for personal income taxes. Employers are responsible for deducting monthly taxes from an employee’s salary.
