For many companies, expanding internationally has become less optional and more imperative. But, while expansion can be exhilarating, it can also be fraught with challenges—especially for companies unaccustomed to navigating the legal, regulatory, and cultural terrain of an unfamiliar locale.
That’s why we pioneered the global employer of record model to help companies compliantly expand internationally without establishing subsidiaries. To further understand the challenges U.S. companies face when expanding globally, we partnered with CFO Research to survey senior executives and see how they overcome these barriers.
Here’s a sample of what we found:
- 94% of those surveyed believe a global employer of record (EOR) can do a much better job of overcoming potential barriers to operating in a new country than a company can do in-house
- 51% say legal and HR compliance is the top benefit of working with a global EOR
- 58% said they already use a global EOR, or plan to do so within the next three years
